Hi, i find somedays ago my MAW game and reinstall it, the engine become old after 6 years with no updates specially after JT leave HPS and started an upgrade plan for all series... i am curious to know if we are going to see the serie updated at least to actual Nap level with extra zoom level, wheel zoom (MAW still doesnt have it) and maybe the art area (like have 3D units like are now in nap titles).

I dont ask for new titles because only options for serie space-time are the south American liberation Wars and a title with no USA involvement sure is not a great priority outside Nap-FWW series.

Well, lets see if we can know a little about this serie.

Thanks.

Yep i agree, this series needs some love. Without the magnified view it make gaming really difficult - hopefully support will see this and give us some hope.
We will issue updates for these games adding in the new features, they are just in line behind other things...issuing the ACW updates now.

Thanks for the quick reply. Glad to hear the improvements will be implemented when there's time.
Thanks for the reply, well, looks like EAW is the last in the list... well, if you dont count Strategic War hehehe.

I allways find sad dont use more the EAW engine to cover other XIX century wars... but....
Recently purchased Campaign 1776 , I thoroughly enjoy the title and will be most likely be picking up 1812 but am a little apprehensive due to the just awful 3d graphics in 1776 that are in fact distracting mandating play in 2d . Will the graphics be part of up dates in this series?
I enjoy playing it from the box, but you could check out this thread from the Mods forum

There may be more at the Colonial Campaigns Club
Thank you... I'll take a look, I have muzzle loaded a few Nopoleonic 2D terrian mods into 1776 making the game much more immersible. I sure hope this series gets updated and not forgotten , honestly there just isn't anything out there on a tactical scale for the F&IW through 1812 time period
I expect the serie receive a rework like ACW, in the art area, specially in the 3D units and portraits... maybe here i think in nap style 3D units... if i dont remember bad was a FIW mod that try create 3D units with smaller soldiers but in formation.

3D is kind of a tricky issue.  There have been a lot of times recently where it seems like I need to get in there, and spend some time learning it.  (This isn't entirely flippant, either).

Short of a big break from my day job, I don't have the time to commit to doing it right.  By break from work too, I don't mean like the last one I had which was sorta helped along in a hockey game.

It can happen; but I think as Rich Hamilton has mentioned elsewhere, probably be more of an in-house JTS look. By that I don't mean that it will look the same as now ...  the thing is, though, like with the Squad Battles project, the priority is on developing new material.
