Hi Gents.....so, I am actually just staring the JT Pzr Camp. series, when I saw Op Mars covered ( Rhzev) I was like yes, this has to be a winner then, got sidetracked by another Fav. Op Konrad....lord it has oit have the record for rivers streams damaged bridges etc..

So, to cases, the bridging gig has got me sideways.....

I had a doc here that was supposed to explain it all. Well, not quite.

So if a kind fellow could set me straight, I'll to ask the Qs straight as possible;

-can a Bridge Eng. unit ('has bridge') repair a damaged bridge? By using bridge ops button?

- does it have to HAVE  a' bridge' as in 'Has bridge'? Cannot it not just repair a damaged bridge? or does if have to lay a bridge Over the damaged one via 'bridge ops'?

-if you have a Brdg. Eng 'lay a bridge' i understand it cannot move away unless it 'abandons' the bridge as in, it no longer has one to lay, anywhere, BUT cannot it not repair or do anything either for or with bridges from that point forward?

-how does it pick up its bridge so it can move on and lay it somewhere else?"Bridge Ops' and wait for it to 'has bridge' display?

- Other Pioneers etc. have for example; Mine/Bridge noted in their details...so, what can they do for or to bridges? If they cannot lay a bridge can they repair them etc etc etc..?

Bonus Q or comment really; Unlike other JT games ( I know a number of you from the Matrix JTCamp. Forums) apparently there is NO map editor, as there for example in ME Campaign, EF, WF, RS ?

What if I wanted to edit a map and create or lay a bridge, add a stream etc. ? Thats out?

Thx very much for your kind attenbtion...

No a damaged bridge cannot be repaired, all you can do is to use a bridging engineer unit to lay a bridge using the "bridge ops" feature over the same hexside as the damaged bridge or of course any other river hexside.

If you wish to move the bridge engineer unit that has placed a bridge, then you select that unit for "bridge ops" and in a random number of turns the bridge will be removed and the unit is free to move on, in other words it is just "bridge ops" in reverse.

Other types of engineer units have no effect on bridging operations, but they do help out in many ways as specified in the engineer section of the rules.

Remember that if you remove a bridge over a river there maybe consequences if your only supply line was being traced across the river via that bridge. Wink

No there is no map editor.
