I'm looking for opponents for the Clash of Empires scenario in East Prussia '14.

Preferably I'm looking for 2 opponents - one for each of the Russian armies to simulate their lack of communication. Default rules. PBEM. No advantage or disadvantage for either side.

Also - I might not be around for a few days, but I should try to keep the delays to the minimum.

Anyone willing to join me?

How about Staluponen? 4 turns and not 206; might be a good way to get your feet wet. jonny Smile
I'm not really a fan of those short scenarios, there is no room for grand strategy there, maneuvering and counter-attacking and that's what Prussian Campaign is all about ;)

Never played it, I'll check it when I'll have a chance.

I don't own East Prussia '14 - but I did note there are 8 scenarios in the 22-47 turn range that may be more appropriate as an "initiation" into grand strategy campaigns than the full-blown 206 turn one?  Idea2  Smile

206 turns is a HUGE time commitment... especially when things start to "go wrong" for one side!   Yikes

BTW, the longest campaign scenario I have ever played was the Sicily '43 "Dry Feet Campaign" (172 turns)... and even then, my opponent and I only played approximately 80-90 turns before we declared a stalemate.  Smile
Ekaton,
Based on your post on the AI, I strongly suggest you play a series of small and medium games before jumping into the huge ones. Human players use VERY different tactics than the AI and, perhaps, from you. There is nothing worse than playing a huge, long game with many units to move, and finding out after 40 turns that your tactical approach to the game needs refinement. Most players require experience with human opponents before being able to play the longer scenarios successfully.

Everyone is different (I was totally destroyed by a first time play by email player over a decade ago in the battle of Aspern Essling), but most people benefit from playing some smaller battles first.

Gumbinen, Staluponen, and the scenarios covering the smaller parts of Tannenberg and Lodz.
