Hi
Am I blind or is there no art mod by Volcano Man for Moscow 42?
No, you are not blind.   Search

I believe Tunisia '43 was the only JTS released PzC title he did one for.
I hope you have the latest 1.02 patch (and hotfix!) as we extensively updated the game graphics from the old 'cartoons' to the colourised photo approach.

This should bring it much closer to the standard Volcano man has being releasing...

@Strela
While the new style is OK I would recommend to rework over the movement type depiction on the unit art.
While it's historically correct that heavier pieces were drawn by a hauler, the graphics should just show what the unit uses as movement type.
For example the German infantry-guns, why show a half-track if the movement type is motorized and by that should be depicted as truck, or 88mm AA guns that show a hauler what leads to think of tracked movement but instead use motorized movement.
It just leads to misinterpretations on the unit and its capabilities.

These were ported straight across from Panzer battles.

in many cases the 'soft halftracks' represented were needed to get motorised equivalent movement in Russia. that said, I'll go back and check if there is any significant impact in game. Please note the 88's were towed by prime movers, the infantry guns were towed by trucks and we used the ubiquitous 'tracked truck' so needed in the autumn and winter to represent the unique Russian requirements.

If its confusing I'll adjust in the next patch...

If you go with MapMod only (no Volcano man mod), units are depicted as line drawings with no accompanying transport type image.   Smile

You can right click on the unit pic to view transport type:

For example, in the detailed unit information, towed guns are listed as either horse-drawn or motorized. Infantry is listed as foot, motorized or hard half track (Pz Gren).

Of course, once you put a unit into T-mode, you'll know it's movement capabilities -i.e. Not capable of entering a rough hex, etc.

This unit depiction works well for me!   Helmet Smile
Not sure what you mean, there is no mod from Volcano Man for this game and so I have the stock unit graphics.
These stock graphics are from Panzer Battles where not only the transport type but also the tactical symbol is depicted on the unit art.
You should check if you are up-to-date.

My mistake.  Military2

I was not referencing Moscow 42 specifically -  but other PzC titles (i.e. Tobruk 41, El Alamein 42, Tunisia 43 and Bulge 44)

I guess each PzC title is unique in regards to what graphics come as stock?  Idea2
Ah, OK.
Maybe Strela can say something to that but I think only Moscow 42 and Kharkov 43 use the PB graphics.
I think all others still have the stock graphics from the time this series was introduced.
