Can anyone identify the vehicle in front of the JagdTiger???  It appears to have Russian road wheels but I can't for the life of me decide what it might be:

Jagdtiger, best I can tell. I see some pics with an extra pair of running wheels, but other pics matching this configuration. The rear end matches, the superstructure matches and the gun appears to match.

Rick
He wanted the vehicle in front. Looks like a Nashorn.
ignore my post  ?

I thought the same thing given the shape of the superstructure, but the rear idler wheel  (at least I think that's the rear of the vehicle) looks completely wrong to be a Nashhorn or any German tank that I can think of. Plus, the visible road wheel is a large type, and the Nashhorn had the smaller PZ IV - type road wheels.
I don't think it is any vehicle based on the PzIV chassis since a PzIV could never tow a super heavy tank, it took another tiger to tow a tiger so that rules out the mediums. Can't be an SU76 either, too light.

Yes.  That's what I'm saying.   With that large road wheel it's not anything based on a PZ IV chassis.

It's also not towing the JadgTiger;  it's just parked in front of it.

It's either one of the Panther / Tiger / Jagd / etc family of German vehicles, or I am leaning more towards it being a Russian with T-34 type of wheels.  In fact the more I look at it, the more it looks like the FRONT wheel of a T-34 type arrangement but then there's no way to square that superstructure with any T-34 wheel vehicle I can think of.

LOL   I found the photo completely by accident on Pinterest and it's been driving me nuts for a week now.
Su76?

No,  SU-76 had smaller road wheels.   I have looked at the SU-85, SU-100, every version and variant of T-34 I can think of and nothing matches.

Behold the power of the internet and enough free time on Pinterest:   caption says  "US soldiers watching interior of unfinished German prototype of self-propelled gun (17cm Kanone 72 (Sf) Geschutzwagen Tiger). Vehicle supposed to have 7 or 8 members of crew. "
