To the Blitz front office a suggestion if I may,

This might be asking a lot, but would it be possible to add Tigers on the Hunt game to the Firing Line plus add its own separate scenario data base to post existing and future scenarios here at the blitz.

As some of you may know, Tigers on the Hunt is a fairly new game developed by Peter Fisla and distributed by Matrix/Slitherine. It was first released to the public 2/25/16.

In summary it is a computer game developed closely using (ASL) Advanced Squad Leader Infantry Tactics and looks to have a pretty good following over at Matrix. Currently there are over 50 scenarios total with 20 or so of them coming with the game.

The game has individual squads, half squads, leaders, support weapons, crews, ordnance and armored vehicles. Surprisingly it plays a lot like the ASL of old and has an A/I that is not bad. You can edit maps, make maps from scratch and add order of battles of your choosing. There are already a number of mods for the game and the first update is due soon. Unfortunately there is no provision to play PBEM like the original ASL but there looks to be some guidance to play H2H across connected systems.

But please don't take my word for it, go over and see the forums at Matrix (Tigers on the Hunt) and decide for yourselves if this new game and new following should be included here at the Blitz Wargaming Club.

Thanks for your attention
Regards!

Thanks for offering the suggestion.

Just recently, we opened up a new section of the Blitz to cover games that we don't already support via PBEM.

Within the Matrix section, Tigers on the Hunt was the first game added and it can be found in the "General Games" section located here:

As for automatically creating a gaming ladder for it, it is too premature, at this time.

If this game receives plenty of action and activity within our General Games section, and there are several members who would be interested in us adding it to our gaming ladder, we will certainly be open minded about it, as adding a new game/series to a PBEM ladder is a very time consuming process.
Thanks Compass Rose,

Didn't see we had a slot for it under Matrix Games, my bad.

Fully understand the ladder issue and the work needed going forward to create a new game in that venue. With TotH not having a working PBEM mode, a ladder wouldn't make much sense at this time. However would a scenario data base still be possible? Not sure if the two are interrelated though: Ladder-Scenario Data Base.
