..and looking for a game of SPWaW, possibly a game online if anyone is interested, dunno how easy that might be to do.. but PBEM would be a good starting point.
Haven't played this for years but am rediscovering its many pleasures and cant now understand why I stopped.
Needs to be a smallish scenario to begin with, and then when I start losing I wont have to tolerate the feeling for too long
No other prefs really, just curious to get back into it again.

Thanks Weasel, I have them all..and if I looked hard enough I could probably find the original SP1, 2 and 3!
I remember seeing an advert for SP1 when it first came out first came out and thinking, "gotta get this" then the excitement of coming home and installing it and playing the first scenario as the Germans mowing down Polish cavalry, No game has come close to recreating the excitement of that, and I was stunned by the excellence of the graphics
Difficult to imagine being stunned by graphics like that now!!
I noticed in the "Games I play" section I can select "SP head to head", Not heard about this, what is it?
H2H is an old add on to WAW that fixed a lot of stuff and allowed for more formations. It was a huge jump ahead.
I started with SP1 too, then SP2 but didn't like 3.
SP1, max units on map 20.
Have you registered any SP games on the ladder before?, your profile shows you as a new player. I don't play WAW myself, only the windows versions, fully patched.

This will be my first game here with SP, I have played more SB here than anything.... although I am sure if it was possible to delve into the Leadeaters archive I would have a few games listed.
Agree about sp3, brigade command, never liked that myself, an attempt to upscale that didnt realy work.
Hopefully you have my pbem turn by now.

Do you have SPww2, I will play a scenario or small game if you wish, we can run it as a mentor game so you can ask questions etc
