Gentlemen,

It's my pleasure to announce the start of the third round of the Storm in the East tournament. For this round a new map will be used - an allied attack this time - which can be found here .

Either go to the scenario's page and click Download or download it from this direct link . Once you download it, copy the btt file in the Game Files\Scenarios folder [usually c:\Users\<your name>\Documents\Battlefront\Combat Mission\Red Thunder\Game Files\Scenarios], start the game and locate the 'Storm In the East 2' entry under 'Battles'.

Please pay special attention you are starting the game using the second map - named Storm In the East 2, rather than the first one (Storm In the East 1).

Very important! Since the final ranking of the first phase will be computed based on the number of points you gain at the end of the game, you might wish you refrain from surrendering even if the battle doesn't go your way. Surrendering will award your opponents all the points for the land objectives!

HMG apparently decided to drop out from the tournament, thus his place has been taken by A Canadian Cat.

A quick remainder about the workflow:
The allied player is the one who will start the setup and send the first turn to his axis opponent.
The games are to be played using 'Iron' as skill level, unless otherwise agreed.
The game will count as an on-ladder game and will be reported just like a regular game unless you otherwise agree with your opponent.

Very important! When you finish your game, please write down the final score and post it in this forum thread!

Now, if you've been reading so far, i'll take advantage of this opportunity to give you a heads-up that the older Storm in the East threads have been moved to the Tournaments subforum. The same will happen to the current thread after a couple of days.

Good luck to all of you.

Raz.
Raz,

I'm in group 2 and noticed that my name is not up for this round 3 which is good fortune because I'm starting a three week vacation in a few days and won't be back till August 10th. Works out perfect for this tourney.

That also means that our scenario of the month match will be on hold also.

Regards

Floki
I cannot enter my round 2 victory on the ladder, due too slingload not been on there, any advice please
I am in group 5 and I hate to do this but I just downloaded the scenario and it is way too large and long for me to commit to at this time.

Would it be possible to find a replacement for me?

Sorry for the inconvienence.
Hey Artyman,

Check the ladder again. I just updated my profile to put me on the CMRT ladder.
I,m ready to play.
As Tedr can't continue participation, I am ready to play with any who will replace him

Um.. are you really, really sure you want to step up? From what i can see you have 2 victories in the first 2 rounds, so unless something goes horribly wrong in the next 2 battles, you'll most likely qualify. Let me know, please...
TedR is right,

It is excessive in a tournament a game of 100 minutes!

I can't play either in summer a large and long scenario.

Greetings.

The beauty of pbem is you can play only when you have time. There are no deadlines for the various rounds, thus the difference between a 45 mins battle and a 100mins one is you'll only finish slightly later in the later case :)
LOL the winner will be decided by attrition.

Sorry couldn't resist
