Hello everyone,

I am happy to have found this forum, which is significantly more active than some others out there! I started playing Steel Panthers a few months ago and am hooked. Needless to say, I am captivated by World War II and military history in general and have played significant amounts of Forgotten Hope, Red Orchestra, Flames of War, Europa Barbarorum, Fields of Glory, Civil War Generals, and Diplomacy. SP really reminds me of Flames of War. I stopped playing that game due to its fiscal-temporal costs and its increasing...Warhammer-ness I guess.

I am looking for a PBEM opponent who is either new as well or a relative veteran who is willing to play without a huge challange. I am not familiar with the established rules so I will leave that to you. All periods of history interest me, and I am less concerned with plausable matchups than most of you probably are. If you are interested in playing please drop a post, pm, or whatever it takes to get my attention.
No bites yet? I think part of the lack of interest is the slow turn rate you have posted on your profile, 1 turn a week is very slow and the game loses continuity (IMO).
Thanks for the reply. No worries actually; I was contacted through email by two members. I am currently embroiled in a Germany vs Russia meeting engagement during the Bagration campaign and am setting up a Poland advance during the Normandy campaign. Regarding the latter, how do I set up the number of turns for a game? I will change my profile to say 1 turn per day as you advised.
Go into CONTROL PANEL (the screw drive icon) and scroll down to the TURNS PER DAY drop down menu.

Glad you found some guys to play against. Are these going to be regular games or mentor games? You may wish to check out the HINT AND TIPS post at the top of the SP board, there are articles in there on tactics both official and what players have found works for them.
