I apologize if this has been covered before. I used a blast command on a barbed wire fence in CMBN MG 2.12. My squad blasted the obstacle, and then ran around the fence, UGH!!
Is this normal?

Didn't know that it's possible to blast barbed wire. I have to test it.
Yes, it is normal. Not very desirable much of the time. The issue is that the Blast command is a movement order. For blasting bocage it is a really big problem to run through afterwards - as you can imagine. So, for bocage it works to blast along the hedge line instead of through it. They your engineers do not go through. I have no idea if the same thing will work for wire but it would be worth a try.
Thanks for the responses. I figured out to blast along the hedgerows (the hard way), so you troops are not exposed to fire. I'm just surprised it would not work on barbed wire fences considering you can blast block walls and buildings. Oh well...
Oh I did not realize you already tried to blast along the wire. Bummer.
