And then Murphy laid down the law...
After some last-minute snafus, various links have been fixed.
By whatever path or process you attempt the update, make sure you are applying 2.01, not 2.00!
As always, we recommend you update to 2.01 over a clean 1.00 install!

Gents:
Good news!
I assume it is "best practice" to finish all current games (under patch 2.0) first before patching to 2.01?

Some WF units were reassigned to their pre 1.04 correct values (Late war US, UK infantry for an example) so some ongoing games might be affected. EF and RS were mostly untouched in this aspect.
So yes, "best practice" might be to have the both versions available in parallel. On the other hand, especially for EF and RS games, you can continue with 2.01 as well.
Please read the readme.pdf for a changelog.

Actually, the Changelog is available here also: http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/fb.asp?m=3626989
The WF OOBs did not change but the affected scenarios. Duh.

Thanks!
Examples how to have various installs available at the same time are discussed HERE.
Hope this helps.

Was the problem of hard-target attack values fixed for American units in WF?

Yes. It will require a restart for any scenario or campaign.
