Hello,

Ever since the update I can not see the Platoon Data Weapons Data, etc. (The F3, F4, F5 buttons). This is killing me since unlike apparently everybuddy else I have no idea what units can do what! I downloaded a patch for windows 8 that let me see them before the update.

Does anyone have any idea if I can fix this?

Thanks
Your install comes with a Unit Viewer which replaces those F menus.

Take a look at that, it is filled with valuable information.

JTCS_UnitViewer.exe is located at C:\Matrix Games\John Tiller's Campaign Series 2.0\Tools\JTCS_Unitviewer\ folder (or similar, depending where you have the game installed).

All needed to launch it is to double click at it. There's no installation as such. You might want to copy a shortcut pointing to it to your desktop though.

It is such a great utility. Please have a look if you haven't yet Helmet Smile

Hope this helps.
Is there a way to launch the Unit Viewer while in the game?
Unit Viewer is not launched by the game itself, ie. there's no Menu option etc to launch it. But since everything's now windowed, you can now launch the Viewer as a separate window.
I like the Unit Viewer, its a great tool. I do miss the unit data in the game though as it can be hard to determine if a unit can fire smoke or whether a gun needs to be towed or can be pulled.

Such information is now provided in the (F2) Unit Handbook.
Will selecting F2 bring up the Unit Handbook while I am playing a game?

Yes. Select a unit first, then hit the F2 key. There are also a toolbar icon and Help menu item for this purpose.

Thanks. The F2 function isn't working on my computer, but it could be a Win7 thing....!
