Happy New Year!
My head hurts...
Anyways, I just got Campaign Series. I actually have played it before when I was a kid but never as seriously as people do here. But, I ready to learn.
Just a few quick questions before I post my first "new game needed" post. Do I need to download patches or anything? And also, will this game work on Windows 8? It seems fine against the AI with the exception that I can't figure out how to close it out with out using the task manager.
I look forward to playing with you guys, this site is EXCELLENT.

No, no, no, just as a computer game, years ago. Hey I'm only thirty. I was a kid not that long ago, hahahaha.
If you are asking about Matrix John Tiller's Campaign Series, when you get to the battle map, press the M key. You should see the top line menu appear. From the File dropdown, you can exit.

LOL, yeah, it's been at least that long since I played as a board game. I miss those days...

I think that would fry my brain for sure. I am just trying to get through the whole manual and understand JTCS... and that's letting the computer read the statsheets and dice rolls, hahaha.

On the right side of the top menu is where you find About. Select that and see your version number. 1.04 is the latest.

You need to download 1.04 separately if you have not done that. Practically everyone here is at 1.04.
As for W8, I've played the game with both 8.0 and now with 8.1, it works fine with both OS's.
