Mark, I saw You visited here on Sep 4th last time and You have not been responding since the end of August when I sent You the last time a turn off one of our five scenarios currently in playing. All the balls are now on Your side of the net and I am quite worried with that silence of Yours as for over the last two years we have been fighting each other it's the first time anything like this takes place. I hope everything's fine and You're coming back any time soon.
Hi guys

I have just seen that the discussion was going so , late as it is, let me have my say:

1. 1st of all I am very glad Mark has responded and he's alright so I'd say that the last resort measure actually worked to get through to him. Too bad it caused a stir.

2. I am ready to cancel any reports I have made and carry on happily with all of the games we had been playing until the bitter end. I sent all of my turns about five weeks ago and neither came back so I assumed for some reason Mark vanished - such things happen, my first human opponent here at the Blitz vanished after about a month or so and has never come back. I think my mail account address was blocked or something so no message out of five in total got through. That also happens - I happen to to have a TOAW III opponent in Korea who still has not received a turn I sent yesterday even though we got in touch n the meantime.

3. I reported the games as closely to the last victory level I remembered as I could - I retired the idea of loading the "Rokossovsky's ..." and "Cavalry ... " just to confirm that as it visibly didn't matter if a guy is gone and when I haven't received any answers to five messages in total I made an assumption he's gone for good and only hoped it's nothing serious in real life. In my description in the reports I attached the opinions on which side was actually going to win, but those are the rules of forfeiting the game as I thought Mark did for some reason unknown.

4. I actually didn't report NGP '85 "Fulda Gap" scenario as I forgot, I wasn't that keen on submitting those reports, I was just cleaning up my closet after over a month of silence on the front lines.

5. I hope no hurt feelings are going to be involved, I described Mark as a great opponent in my reports and that is exactly what I still think and hope to return to our mutual hostilities. He was actually the guy who got me into the HPS / JTS games in the PBEM mode.

6. Doing reports I made a mistake which I promptly requested corrected - "Drive Over Dneper" - by cancelling that (even thought I doubted the other side would respond to any of my reports) so within some reasonable framework I put all the effort it takes in my opinion to get everything right.

7. Cancelling the reports and resending the files to Mark.

Hope that clears all of the doubts regarding the approach towards and handling of the issues here.

Apparently I checked if Mark could see the flare here ... Aw good.

I also tried to contact him directly on Sep 10th, could have used a wrong mail address, I have collected three or four his so far, but I was replying to the one that had generated movement over the course of past week and months.
OK no problem, these misunderstandings happen from time to time, i will make sure the game results are removed. Smile
