Full Version: Keyboard Function Keys Don't Work?

Hello Fellow Warmongers:

Here's a new one...recently replaced my keyboard with a new Microsoft unit...and my Function Keys don't call up the Unit Dialogs (F2) or any of the other function keys except the totally useless F4 response from Microsoft which explains to me why it can't help me which is pretty much a given in any case.

There was no "driver disk" with it, and I wouldn't expect a keyboard to require any. Went online, downloaded what Microsoft had, supposedly the latest drivers, still no Function keys.

This is system critical as the only way I can keep up with most of you is to constantly use the F2 key and try to figure out what the Hell I'm doing...Helmet Rolleyes

Any help would be appreciated, I'm sure it's something pretty easy to fix. I'm hoping I don't need to reinstall the game for something this minor.

Oh...by the way...Windows7....64 bit...if that matters...

Oh...by the way twice...Microsoft Ergonomic 4000 keyboard...if that matters...

Oh...even better...this all happened because I passed out at the keyboard one night...about 2 hours into a move...and my BEER spilled all over the OLD keyboard...
This tells me two things...I may need to give up beer...not likely mates...or find a beerproof keyboard designed for old warmongering farts with aging livers and narcolepsy...Rolling Eyes

I have a MS ergonomic keyboard with a button to turn on the F keys. They are not on by default when the computer starts up. It is next to F12 and says F Lock.

Hey Dan: Smoke7

"about 2 hours into a move..." Yikes

Were the mental "flywheels" whirling slowly that night...being lubricated by beer... or did the scenario have a couple thousand units? Confused
We're playing a couple that are somewhere between substantial and immense.
To summarize...monumentally stupendous comes to mind...

Junk2...thanks bud...that was it...
It takes a village to raise an idiot...and this idiot says thanks.
