... and the battle for Viborg, Finland's second largest city was over before it barely had started. While the city had kept enemy outside its gates during Winter War, this time the Red Army tanks entered an empty city after only a token resistance.

A conspiracy among the generals? They had, after all, insisted the defensive line must be drawn behind the bay of Viborg and the large rivers that run from there.

Or yet another sign the seemingly non-stoppable Red Army can't, well, be stopped?

See for yourself! Now you can relive the decisive battles of the Leningrad Front's Viborg Offensive in a scenario that is well suited for 3x3 team play as well.

Earlier, I had released it into Lapland War Forum, but now as Forgotten Battles is just another way to play EF it is available in the Scenario Database. Slightest of tweaks done over the LWM version, with Allies moving first, map completed also in the Red Army staging areas, and some upgunned EF:FB 1.35 German StuGs making an appearance.

Changed the Optional Rules to ALL : N AF : N VV.

I try to be liberal with optional rules, but AF=on just does not work with the heavy beasts the Red Army has available to them. Too easy to park the bus somewhere safe and blast the opponent to oblivion... Sorry!
