Full Version: VOTG 6 'Enter Dragan' scenario for RV

An acquaintance of mine, Jose Bergero, has built scenario VOTG6 'Enter Dragan', for RV. It was play-tested and refined by myself and Cpt Cav (Mark Breed). Jose is not a member here, so with his permission I am posting the final version to the RV scenario section.

This scenario is tough for the Russians. German units start with some losses & weapons degradation to reflect the lack of reinforcements & re-supply due to the chaotic & fluid nature of the battle on that first day.

Ritchie, have you started yet? I need to know if the scenario opens correctly, etc... I was tinkering with Andrew Glenn's concept of engineer's being able to emplace vehicle launched light bridges during scenario play and I'm not sure if I kept those changes in the mod, in the OOB when I released it. If I did it should crash the game.

I gotta stop doing that, editing the base files...

We have both played a turn each and so far so good!
After a couple of turns it seems to me the scenario favors the Russian side..

Hey Marc,

We quit the game. Everything was working till about 3 turns in.
The scenario would open with only about 1 hex showing and then
won't save. I tried a bunch of things and Pauli even replayed his turn
and sent it over, but it's a no go Confused

On the balance side, it was very pro Soviet White Flag2
I've updated the scenario with the proper oob file so that it will work with VOTG.

As far as balance, when Mark and I played it was our feeling that the game was overly pro-German; I may have tweaked it too much the other way, so I'll take a look at that. The Germans have reinforcements that arrive later - since you didn't finish, I'm not sure if they would have swung the balance or not.
