I have returned! My tour in Afghanistan is complete. I'll be adjusting to life in the land of the cactus.

I'll have some time off to catch up. What's up in the CS Community?

Take care,

Jim
Welcome back home Jim, its good to hear your back all safe & well !.

Will you back for long ??

Toni
Don't know my future just yet, but we shall see. I'm home for a while as my Afghan tour is over. I'll see what I'll be doing here in Arizona shortly.

Jim
Jim!! Welcome back! Just read "Outlaw Platoon". Kept thinking of you. Glad you're back.

Jim:

Welcome back! Big Grin

Glad you have returned safely.

Thank you for serving our country! Salute
Welcome back Jim!! We are testing a WW1 game, there is a prequel patch to 1.05 that might be in the works, work still on with Modern Wars, new programmer as well!! If you would like, as a K'talan fan, think about maybe joining a team game that had to be stopped, as we lost players? If not, that's cool, right now it seems only myself and Ashcloud are totally into the K'talan!! We are currently playing a huge Malta invasion, with the K'talan dropship assaulting Malta, whilst previous enemy forces rally to repel them. Features Brits, Italians and Germans on the Human Alliance side, and of course, the trusty invaders doing their best to occupy the island to make it a base!!

Cold War is also moving along nicely, with some patches for it, and of course Petri's EF:Lapaland:Forgotten Battles is also moving along nicely with some new scenario's!!

Welcome back!!
Jim,

Welcome home soldier! Salute
Good to have you back safe and sound.
If you were closer I'd buy you dinner. Desert

Most of the activity with the game is not out in the open. Much work behind the scenes. As well as scenarios being played, tested, and reported. :capture the flag:

The forum may be a bit quiet. Like reaching the end of the internet, there is not a whole lot to discuss that has not been already discussed into oblivion? Hamster Wheel
Unless someone wants to bring up half tracks. Twilight Zone

Though a lot has been going on in the mod area!
Love for CS is there, for sure! Thumbs Up

Welcome Home Jim, glad your back safe and sound!!
Thanks for your service to our country!!Helmet Smile

I really can't add anything much further to what Ed and Mike have posted. However I do agree with what they tell you.

There a lot of cool stuff going down with EF-Forgotten Battles and Stefan's mod on Cold War Europe. Let's not forget the Korean War mod either. I'm play testing one scenario as a mirror and working on a couple of others to add.
The World in Flames tourney seems to be going well too, into 1945 now and pretty close on score between the Axis and Allies.

But simmering in the background is everyone's wish in the CS community to get Modern Wars and the 1.05 patch out to the masses!

We're all itchy for that to happen, we want fresh meat is my take!

CS is alive and well here at the blitz!

cheers

Great to see that you are back Jim!

A very good pic of you in full combat dress with the background.

Arizona your home, that is close to some of my family in Vegas. Next time I am in Vegas I'll let you know.

Take care and talk to you later!
Gus
Thanks guys... I'll probably run a few games as I'm taking a month off to re-energize the batteries after a year of 16+ hour days... Also have to work in some gym time...

Good update Mike. Looks like I'll need to troll the various efforts to see what we've got. Funny about WW1, as I was reading The Guns of August on the plane ride home.

If you need a K'talan player, I'll jump on board. I'll just need the newest files and check what version I'm running. I had a little bit of time in the sand box to play around with it, but that time evaporated quickly as I took on more and more responsibility. Definitely enjoyed the campaign aspect of it for a while.
