Friends and opponents.
Some of you may have noticed that I have not responded to e-mails.
Sorry. It's be a tough couple of days.

Four years ago my wife and I adopted a Scottish Terrier.
At eight years old he was diagnosed with two detached retinas. His "owners" did not want a blind dog in their house. "Dexter" went into foster care with a rescue group in New York. He had other medical issues and the foster care lasted two years while they were sorted out.
We adopted him when he was ten. He almost made it to fourteen, which is pretty good for a Scottie, but the cancer he had took him early this morning.

Dexter was a very good dog. I loved to watch him run (yes, a blind dog that ran) in our yard. He will be dearly missed by my entire family. He was "one of a kind". Four years was not enough but, it is the price you pay when you adopt an older dog.

I will be getting turns out shortly.
Again, sorry for the delay and the disappearance.

Ed

Sorry to hear about your loss, it is always a hard thing to accept.
They become a member of the family, you can be proud that you provided him with a good life though.
