Full Version: Presetting OP Fire?

CS Folks,

Somewhere in this forum I thought there was instructions on how to preset opportunity fire in a scenario. However, I can't seem to find the darn post. I remember it has to do with going back into a scenario file with notepad or word and changing some codes. I scanned the manuals briefly but didn't see anything.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hey John: Smoke7

I know some designers (Huib comes to mind), have built in an opportunity fire set-up turn for some scenarios... with all units (both sides) fixed for Turn #1 and than released on Turn #2... so players can set opt fire before the game "officially" starts. It works well and is one way to preset opt fire without having to monkey around with game code.
Or you could just adjust the APs of the front line troops of the side moving second down enough so they can't fire. That's easy to do with Scenario Editor. That's what I've done with a couple of my scenarios.
Hey Kool Kat & Battle Kat,

Thanks for the info. Good Stuff! Gives me something to ponder!

Cheers!
