Well, I know they are good, but I did not expect one platoon of them can eliminate 12(!) T-34s in a single assault when those tanks were not even surrounded and did have friendly infantry near by to retreat. But this is what just happened in one of my games. It was outstanding! Simply wanted to shear this with everyone reminding to keep an eye on those monsters when they are next to your armor.

You right. I keep thinking on it and you know, maybe it happened because of night? They did not see were to retreat? Got lost in the darkness...

I do not know the specific case you are referring to, i.e. The hex the tanks occupied and. An what route of escape they had. However if the tanks were in the woods or town/village then they would have reduced assault factor which means they counter assault was less effectiive. In addition if the tanks were forced to retreat but would not be able to do it due to overstacking in the retreat hex ( i.e. You mentioned infantry was there and this could have been too much for all tanks an infantry stack). As a result the tanks could have been captured.

I agree with PawelM. Thumbs Up
Less effective counter and no place to go, sounds about right. Farmer

Just another example of the superiority of the master race in the CS game engine :-)

Well, there are those that are more equal than all other who are equal in SU forces too. Their SMG platoons for an example are darn good assault units, woe to a Tiger who happens upon them on a town hex Helmet Smile

You must be right. Tanks were in a village.
