Has anyone heard anything good or bad about War Plan Pacific (from Shrapnel Games)?

How about their "Salvo" - - - - is it a good Age of Sail game?

I believe it is either AI or the net; no PBEM.

The reviews make me want to buy it. The non-existence of a community on http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/forumdisplay.php?f=209 gives me second thoughts.

Reading the one AAR on there makes me wonder about there being actual strategic decisions involved or it more being a game of dumb luck because of the fact that the one month turn length gives too much uncertainty about the heading of enemy fleets

It is a great game. I had a lot of fun with it.
