I have skimmed over a hundered pages of threads in this forum. I have learned Rzhev 'is a slugfest' and a 'medium sized PC'. That's about it. How successful have the Soviets been in this one?

ETA: Ah, just discovered the ladders.

Welcome,
Indeed the scenario DB will list all the Rzhev scenarios and the win/draw/loss % for both sides, although i don't have the title from my memory this title covers scenarios fought in snow/mud and storms and those may be a bit of a grind/slugfest.

Maybe a member with this title can confirm this.
Medium sized? In what meaning? Operation "Mars" is one hell of a monster scenario as far as I can rememeber. Otherwise I would have pulled Zhukov's greatest defeat a long time ago ...

I have spent the last couple days reading through threads here. Rzhev was described by someone here as a 'medium sized' Panzer Campaign. After comparing Rzhev to Moscow 42 (they are two of the three that I own) I agree! I was wondering less about VPs and more about whether anyone had successfully penetrated from the east and west as the Sovs, linked up and managed to hold back the German Pz counterattack.
