Mike Amos (warhorse) came to me and asked to set up a Blitz ladder for his K'talan scifi (CS mod) game.

I would like to get feedback from the CS Community on Mike's proposal.

Should the K'talan mod have a Blitz ladder?

Please vote and comment. Thanks! :)

I am a simple guy who prefers simple solutions...

Most of these Hosted Modifications only gather a niche following? And we as JTCS fan(atic)s are a niche already.

Therefore I would support a combined JTCS ladder, consisting of:

- EF2
- WF
- RS
- MW 1 (when its out)
- Hosted Mods (representing / combining all available mods)

- Very popular mods could then be voted to achieve a sub ladder of their own, in a manner The Korean War mod did.

I don't know if this is doable or not? My 0.02 anyways :)

With this in my mind, I voted Yes. As in to have a combined Hosted Mods ladder with K'talan as part of it.

Honestly I can't see this messing up the current ladder score board / leaderboard.

Hosted Modifications sub ladder would consist, at the time of writing this, of:

- Cold War scenarios
- K'talan scenarios
- Lapland War scenarios

And should new mods appear, they would be added to this Hosted Mod sub ladder.
I can't put in a vote, as I'm somewhat biased, just wanted to say that to those who haven't tried it, because there are no points for the ladder, this might spark new interest? Huib even made a scenario for it, which we were testing, just takes people to play the game. It IS set in WW2, and Petri's idea sounds very good, if doable! Thanks to all for any consideration.
To be honest I do not have any interest in the mods. owever the sam applies to RS. I have not played a single PBEM of RS and it is part of the ladder. I do not mind adding the mods into CS ladder. The fact they are there will not affect what I play, i.e. the same as RS.
I choose EF and WF, so the same way other can choose Katala or other mods. It is simply the matter of personal prefernce. With the same scoring criteria I do not see any clash scoring between main game and mods.

I agree with PawelM. Though, I do play RS every now and then, the new mods should be part of the ladder.
It is not like you are creating a new ladder, just that the stats for playing the modded games are part of the CS ladder? Idea2

And, for Warhorse; you are a member of the club and should vote. :horse4:

cheers

Awesome, thanks for that, Ed!!

I did vote after all, thank you, didn't want to be pompous!
Same here I haven't played it or any of the other mods yet and probably won't but see no reason why mods like it shouldn't be part of the blitz CS ladder system. Thumbs Up
I voted Yes.

I voted yes but I don't play this mod. Maybe someday I'll get into itcheers

However, I do play the Korean War mod and love it so in my opinion what is good for the goose is OK for the gander...

So what's the status, oh almighty moderators? Respect3

Just curious, are you planning to add a separate ladder for each mod, or a combined one to group them together?

I would not mind seeing LWM there as well at some point of time, especially as it seems I am progressing with two additional scenarios for it... It is not a big thing for me though, and if grouping the mods together like I suggested would ease the burden I am all for it.
