It seems that we ve compatibility problems as every time i m trying to finish my set up,the game crashes.
Let me guess..the game crashes when you hit the red button? I just rememebered i read some accounts on the BFC forum that a new bug was introduced with 1.10. Seems like the game will crash if there is barbed wire in the scenario. Seems the bug is already fixed,but we'll have to wait for the next patch to come out.

And in 'la Valence' there is barbed wire. In any case,i'll have to ask you to put this game on hold for the next 3-4 days. Once i'll get home i'll open the scenario in the editor,remove the barbed wire and replace it with some mines. This way,i guess,you should be able to play the game just fine.

Game is underway.
The scenario is called La Valence.My mission is A)hold two key posittions and B)destroy the Allied forces.
Each part of mission is giving the same amount of points(250).
My force consists of 1 Coy(-) of Infantry and 1 MG Plt plus off map mortar support.
I m also given some TRPs,mines and hedgehog obstacles to assist me in my task.
Length of battle is 1hour and 10 minutes which is more than enough IMO for the attacker to make a carefull advance and to capture its objectives.
My troops are mostly Conscripts,as the troops are part of an Ost Battalion.
I dont think that i ll be able to hold as usually troops of lower quality are tend to flee whenever a shot is fired on their dierction.Anyway my plan is to make the Amis pay a price before they manage to capture their objectives.
7th minute:The Amis are using the two passable fords to advance towards the objectives.
At my right a sniper team which i used for early warning suffered a KIA and withdraw.
At my left i ve ambushed two half squads and caused 6 casualties.I m also dropping mortars on both crossing points but i cant estimate the damage as i dont have eyes on those areas.
My landsers are reacting well so far,given their poor experience,but i need to have them always in contact with their parent HQ.At the dying moment of 7th minute mortars started falling at my left flank and i might with draw my troops as i think soon they ll be panicked and out of control.
As i ve said earlier winning is out of the question in this scenario and i ll just try to bleed the attacker as much as i can
10th minute:The first(minor) objective worth 40 points''The Chateau'' is about to fell to the Amis after a brief firefight and a around a dozen mortar rounds fired.
My understrength 3rd Plt(18 men in total) after suffering 8 casualties just melted away.
The only combat able soldiers,a half squad of 3 men,are left behind in order to cover their comrades retreat.Still an unsloved problem for me is the very fragile troops(conscripts and greens) as the moment they are fired they just run away.
I dont think that the battle will last more than 30 minutes if my opponent has any kind of armour support. or sufficient mortars.
I played this scenario with both sides and i can say it's winnable with either one.
My fingers itch to give you some advices,but i guess ariete won't be to happy about it.
I'll only say the winner will be decided by the player who handles his arty best ;)
As i m playing it blind,i dont know about Amis force mix and strength.
