Has anyone played Memoir '44? If so how did you like it?

It looks like a fun game. I see that Days of Wonder even offer an option to play it on line.

Believe it or not, Memoir '44 is even being used to help teach history to kids in school.

That is a neat idea. I wish I had a cool history teacher like that, back when I was in school! Big Grin2

I have bought the boardgame a couple of weeks ago and like it very much. Played several battles with a friend and we had a lot of fun. Registered for playing online too and this is great when you are lacking a human opponent to play the boardgame. I think the replay value will be great as every battle will unfold in another way due to the command cards one will get.
Thanks for the info. Are you planning on purchasing any add-ons?

The Pacific Theater looks interesting to me.
I have already bought the East Front add-on. In online gaming you will be able to play battles of all theaters.
Sounds good. It looks like I need to check it out more closely!

Thanks
I own and play memoir 44. It's fast and fun, very simple and a great way to introduce friends to wargaming. I graduated a buddy of mine to axis and allies and soon we will be doing my beloved hexes...
Good old Axis & Allies. I still own the my original version from back in the 80's.
I heard Jose (grofaz) has a "Man Cave" full of board gamesBig Laugh

Memoir 44 does look very cool!
Not only computer wargames are modded. Have a look at the Memoir '44 gallery at the boardgamegeek:
