Gents - my email address book was hacked into today - and looks like lots of messages were sent from me. My apologies for any unwanted emails that may have come across anyone's inbox.

MSN has contacted me and they have shut my account down and restarted it with all new sign in's etc.

My email address is still fine:

[email protected]

My apologies for this inconvenience!

PS - Don't people have better things to do?

Bugs ... bugs ... everywhere! Eek
We need Rico's Roughnecks to take on those bugs! :pullhair:

cheers

I wonderd why you suddenly turned into a Viagra salesman ;-)
I know people who had hotmail and yahoo emails accounts that have had the same problem. That's why I suggest to people to include themselves in their own address book. That way if their account gets hacked and is the source of spam, they will know about it as soon as it starts to happen.

For what it is worth, I don't know anyone who has had a gmail account hacked.

Good suggestion!

I originally had a Yahoo mail account... but it also got hacked and spammed.

I also recommend that Yahoo mail account owners NOT participate in posting comments to Yahoo news items. It seems that opens up folks' email accounts to attacks.

Following my Yahoo mail account hack... I migrated over to gmail... and have been "hack and spam free" too! :)
