Am pretty close to having this mod for WF done, but could really use some help in the scenario design area!! Are there any designers out there interested, if so, let me know, I'll zip the game up and maybe we can get some scenario's going so I can release this thing finally! It is a self-contained deal, goes in it's own directory. There are also two functioning DCG's included, could use some help with testing stuff also, hope someone is interested, spent alot of time on this.

Well, if you like designing scenarios, or wouldn't mind even trying out a DCG or so, just to test things out? I've been working on this so long, I'm getting bug-eyed!!

It is a full mod of the game, in that the K'talans are an invading species bent on conquest of Earth during WW2, starting in May 1942. The nations of Earth, when confronted with the new threat, band together, much to the chagrin of the K'talan, who figured since the world was in upheaval, that would help the cause. So, the K'talan are slot 12, the only Allied nation, then German, Soviet, US, Britain, Italy, and a few more are now all Axis nations, to combat this threat. The K'talan, although able to travel space by "jumping", are using the equivalent of our modern day military hardware. All icons, and pics, as well as screens are new for this, so far as the K'talan are concerned. There is one DCG dealing with the battles against the Axis in the desert, which requires the use of a special campaign file using jus the Afrika Korps, then another dealing with later war battles, both have been edited to try and balance things.

So far, it is a fun mod, however if you choose an armored formation as K'talan, it's pretty much too easy, am working on ways to pair that down, have adjusted AI picks for armor to almost nil, which works out pretty well using an infantry/motor/mech inf formation. Let me know...

sounds kool, count me in on the DCG for now til i get how the old girl does, Once I understand the Mod I am sure I can do a scebario. Maybe the Port City of Charleston, Vital to shipping on the east coast. Home to Ft Sumter. Heavy Coastal Defense. War Games were done through the Carolinas and many airfields that could be used as a basis for a scenario. Once you take Charleston you take 20% of the SE Shipping away. You cut west north west to Knoxville, west to Nashville and succeed in dividing the nation. Now you move north to tak Lexing Louisvill and then Cincinnatti. Move east Pittsburg then Finally the coup de gras Washington. After the east coast you have to deal with the west coast. Mexico will then get involved with Help from Canada. The Battle of St. Louis Begins.

great liiking forward to it....started making the map of the charleston campaign.
1. Airborne Landing - Summerville area - 15 miles form the Air Base and behind the caoastal defences. Sea Land in 2 places.....James Island and Mt Pleasant, James Island has historical significance, Battery Wagner was the there during the vivil war. Also think of this. this area is very hot and swampy. oppressive heat. Not alot of roads in and out of Charleston. So if they take the main arteries and lay sege..ohhhh boy. Now if you look at historical aspect of FT Sumter after the initial surrender. the fort was never conquered even after charleston fell. they did not surrender til almost the end of the war. There is some interesring facets to this mod
Man, I never would've thought of a scennie like that!! This is why I need help, not too much of a scenario builder!! Uploading the file now, will email you a link later then. Hitting extract puts it in Matrix Games\John Tillers Campaign Series\K'talan WF, so just extract into your Harddrive, it will do the rest! Self contained, so DO NOT overwrite any existing install!!;-) There is a doc called K'talan Mod Background.doc so you can get up to speed. Think that's it, need to use the included JSGME swapper to play the Hell in the Desert campaign with Afrika Korps, and also to use the K'talan desert icons, since Belgium isn't programmed in the engine to use that particular special function. It will use the snow ones automatically though. Talk to ya later, and thanks again!!

sure thing...it would make for an interesting set of dcg that tie into a whole world invasion
