Guys,

Am playing around with Africa at War scenario design, as was wondering what the different pdt files stand for.

When I open new map, new OOB to begin laying out a new scenario there are several pdt options – MainLight, MainLightHigh , MainLightNT and so on.

Have previously simply saved new scenarios as main.pdt.

Also see Modern War has some differant pdt options as well.

Could someone explain what these other pdt save options are for and do?

Cheers.

They represent different fighting environments. Scenario designers often make different pdt files for battles that take place in winter, mud, night, rugged terrain, under siege etc. For example in winter pdt you dont have tall crops so fields dont obstruct the LOS or you assign lower recovery rate for a side that is under siege etc.
