Using the hot key "G" will highlight potential target units. Searching the manuals I can find no explanation of how firing on an enemy unit(s) in a hex that is highlighted by this key, is different from other enemy occupied hexes in the firing unit's LOS, but which (for some reason) do not receive the highlighting.
Is there some kind of area fire applied to direct fire on spotted enemy units (especially if the firing units is also the unit doing the spotting of the enemy unit(s) in the target hex)?
