August approaches and once again we need nominations for scenario of the month. Who wants to be first? What's a favorite?

Dave

Don't know if this has been nominated before but...

"A Pivotal Day for the 82nd" (West Front) by Huib Versloot

Man, what a fun scenario- one of the best I've played. It is accurately historical and in my opinion, well balanced for PBEM. The scene is designed in such a manner that both players will be attacking and defending at the same time, rather that one attacking and one defending. There is a lot of interesting terrain to deploy and manuever forces where they will be needed.

The highlight of the battle includes an amphibious river crossing under fire.

I really think that Huib Versloot is a master of scenario design-
A Surprise for Patton's Best (v3.0)

This Don Fox scenario is fantastic. I hugely enjoyed it and am still enjoying it (currently as the Allies). The balancing seems good and once you are out of the woods the action does not stop for a moment.
I'm presently playing "A Pivotal Day for the 82nd" and have to agree, it's really good. Only problem I had was accidentally unloading a boat in the middle of a road, lol, and discovering once unloaded it can't be reloaded!!

So,
A Pivotal Day for the 82nd
A Surprise for Patton's Best (v3.0)

Others? Votes?

I assume you mean an engineer truck has unloaded the crewed boat? To get it back on you need a 3rd (foot) unit. First you get 3 units in the same hex (engineer truck, inf platoon and boat) then you select only the boat and the inf platoon and press the "load" button. Then you select the truck and and the (now loaded) boat and press the "load" button again. You will seen that the inf platoon is now unloaded from the boat and the boat is loaded onto the truck.

hope this helps.
Thanks Huib, I haven't had a chance to try it yet, too much stinking work and not enough time for the important stuff (games).

Any more nominations? Votes?

I nominate Hausser's last Charge. It has multiple possilbilities(as far as strategy is concerned). Add to it a great tank battle scenario

I just noticed I have a zero percent warning level. Showed up on this postunder my join date. Was'nt that eliminated a while back?
I nominate "Fall Braun Across the Maas" if the Huib will double his barges please!
Great work, great scenario.

You're right I have to do some work on that one.
So far:

A Pivotal Day for the 82nd
A Surprise for Patton's Best (v3.0)
Hausser's last Charge
Fall Braun Across the Maas

So far a four way tie with one vote each. Need some tie-break votes. 2 days to go.
