Hi, I've Just joined. I was wondering If anybody wished to make a free historical module for my free wargame? I do this in my free time as a hobby.

The game is a Land game of about a mile squared. The Program has a computer opponent. you set 4 dials for strength, armor, anti-armor, and range when you place them in the scenario editor.

The game uses HQs to increase combat range/movement. there is artilary & MG type chits. Pinned units get a minus bonus in combat. there are dice thrown for random elements in combat. It plays like a boardgame.

the link here is for 168:

There are screenshots in the wargamer forum. If you like counter games, give this a try. For free why not. Also he is continuing to work on it and I think it will become a good game in the end.
Thanks junk2drive for the posts. I realy hope I've finished programing it, if I dont find any bugs its at final version, with only modules to add.
Did you get any takers on making battles?

Matthew Tyler [email protected] is creating some Maps, with his art program http://www.tylermade.co.uk/mappingboard.htm.

Nobody has done a full setup.

Its on web-grognards, so hard-core wargamers will find it.

But Im so involved now with Combat Mission, my game isn't not so Important to me, I think I've been in a bubble programming when technolagy has jumped so high, what I program is sort of 80s 90s design. I think from now on I'm going to stick to playing good games instead of programing :)

I'm so glad of your interest in the wargame, Im sure people un-known to me have downloaded WarTactical because of your backing.
I come from more of the Atari, Nintendo past than the typical board game wargamer. I just can't get into counter games. I played CM to death until I got involved with Matrix Panzer Command in 2006. You should give the PC Ostfront demo a try. It plays differently than CM but is similar in scale.
I heard of PCO a bit, tactical tank battles, but I never checked for a demo, I will give it a try thanks.

I love the older versions of CM, didnt like CMSF or the new Normandy demo. CM will be installed on every PC I ever get :) The HotSeat Option is great too, by playing yourself you get an equal strength opponent.
