Is it possible to use IronWulf's great Pacific Wars Graphics Mod for The Proud and the Few?
Specifically terrain, symbols and unit boxes.
Or will it screw-up the program?

Well I can't guarantee a localized meltdown - but I'd say you're probably safe.
I'm just about to post a small update too to wulfsmod that has updated jungle graphics (more shadowing on the triple canopy stuff). I use an identical set of terrain files in Vietnam, Tour of Duty and PAcific War.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
I plonked the mods in my Proud and the Few file anyway.
The terrain and unit counters all work fine.
The 2Dsymbols50 and 2Dsymbols100 don't appear to take, though.
I cut and pasted them into Map file and twice and found it always reverts to original symbols.
There's a P&F symbol mod on Task Force Echo 4 that also has symbols like your PW ones, and that doesn't take either. Theysimply return to original pillboxes, mine, etc.
Hmm... just for clarification:
There are 2 different types of Symbols50 and Symbols100 for squad battles.
1 Set goes into each of the unit folders and forms the background counter graphics (these look like narrow bands of pink with color squares on them).
1 Set goes into the Map directory but its totally different than the unit ones of the same name (its the large square pink bitmap set with a ton of lil icons on it).
If you put a unit Symbols file into the Map directory by mistake, then you will still see the original Map Symbols because what was actually dropped in there was a new unit symbols and not a map symbols file.
Maybe that helps? If not then there is something inherently different about that particular title - and now I'm curious to know why. I'll just have to wait until I get a copy of the game to see what that file looks like.

I have gotten all your PW and TOW graphic mods to work fine in these games and w/ both Vietnam and Dien Bien Phu.
So no problem in regards where I'm placing the files.
FYI ... However, discovered that P&F simply won't allow 2Dsymbols50/100 (mines, bunkers, tweeks to on-map unit counters) to be overwritten for some reason or another.
Don't know whether this is localized problem or not.
I am running P&F w/ official HPS update 105.
Terrain and unit data box mods are all no problem. Overwrite just fine.
Great mods they give the SB series a whole new feel.
