I'm looking for a German opponent.

I need someone serious and committed, who'll be willing to play for a long time as this scenario is quite long.

I've got TOAW III Matrix Ed, ver. 3.4.0.202 (latest patch).

Well a lot views but no answers, strange as this scenario seems to be THE Africa scenario.
I tried it ones a long time ago but went down right in the first view turns, the Italians simply can't fight Big Grin.
But I would like to try it again, also because the scenario seems to have reached a state with version 10.0 that the designer had long hoped for.

So regarding the Advanced game options, I think we should play with all except the "High Supply" rule but to make sure I just mailed Bob Cross to check what he says, will post his answers as soon as I get.

Till then we play Marschmusik

And here is it already:

All can be used, and I recommend using New Supply and New Turn Order. The one rule I have an issue with is No Borders. Since the logistics rules, as they now stand, could allow the Axis player to invade south of the Qattara Depression, I think it's better to leave that rule off. That enables the CW player to detect such a strategy in time to counter it.

Hopefully, logistics improvements will soon make that no longer the case.

I'm not sure an invasion south of the Qattara Depression would make any sense also the recon level should be high enough to detect movements and if that isn't enough some kind of garrison unit that detect approaching German units would surely be enough.
No Borders will allow for some movements that hopefully go undetected for a while so that this desert movement war for can be conducted like it was.
If you don't mind we play with the "No Borders" option on.
Closed.
