1) Sail on Sailer -The Beach Boys (Not a big fan of their music but this song just sticks in my mind. Great cover band song.

2) Can't You See -- The Marshal Tucker Band (Great drinking song. Perfect guitar lick and yes it is about a women that broke your heart)

4) Tumblin Dice-- The Rolling Stones (Great guitar licks and a real solid drum beat. This song never gets old unlike Keith.

5) Interstate Love Song-- Stone Temple Pilots (Recorded in the ATL this song rocks.)

(Just missed the cut... Space Truckin'/ Highway Star by Deep Purple. These two are great songs to crank up loud. DP is a great old school rock band.

Great replies all.

Although I was looking for your top 5 covers. You know a remake, by someone other than the original artist.

Keep them comming.

Thanx!

Here's mine. I think some of these "covers" might have been better than the original:

Shakin' All Over - The Guess Who 1965 - Johnny Kidd & the pirates 1960

Spoonful - Cream 1966 - Howlin' Wolf 1960

Hurt - Johnny Cash 2003 - Nine Inch Nails 1994

Voodoo Child - Stevie Ray Vaughan 1984 - Jimi Hendrix 1968

Louie Louie - The Kingsmen 1963 - Richard Berry 1957

I've got most of them on vinyl. Yikes! :eek1: I'm old. :smoke:

cheers

HSL

OK, I'll have a go.

1. Santana Abraxas

2. Cream Disraelie Gears

3. Rolling Stones Sticky Fingers

4. Beatles Sgt Pepper

5. Paul McCartney McCartney

ooopppss I think I am the one who got this going in wrong direction. Was never good at reading instructions.
My bad. :conf:
Gun's N Roses- Live and Let Die ( Paul McCartney)
Five Finger Death Punch-Bad Company ( Bad Company ) Lyrics have been modified.
Metallica-Turn The Page ( Bob Seger )
Smash Mouth-I'm A Beleiver ( The Monkeys )
Aerosmith-Come Togather ( The Beatles )

There are a dozen others but those come to mind right off and I have them on my play lists.
