First - I greatly appreciate the work efforts of Jason & Co in their development of Modern Wars. It's an ambitious (possibly overwhelming?) project that has been underway for several years.
And while I am interested in Modern Wars... and may purchase it after initial release... my gaming priority and wish list are focused on CS improvements via the 1.05 patch. I'm sure there are other players here with similar priorities? :chin:
Unfortunately, both the Modern Wars and 1.05 patch developments are "joined at the hip" so to speak? I assume that Matrix development resources are stretched thin... and having just read in Jason's Modern Wars blog that a new designer has joined the Beta Brigade... and ALL of the Vietnam scenarios in Modern Wars - Vol I have been scrapped and are being replaced with new ones... that the development time for Modern Wars has been considerably lengthened?
Even when Modern Wars Vol I is finally released, I assume that there will be dedicated resource put in place to support it... and than there is the follow on development effort for Modern Wars Vol II?
Again, the end result for CS gamers... is that the 1.05 patch release date has also been pushed out too? I assume (at best) we are looking at sometime in 2012 for the 1.05 patch... if everything goes well with the initial release of Modern Wars Vol I... or it could be 2013 or even 2014?? :eek1: if there are numerous bugs and / or Modern Wars Vol II starts development immediately after the vol I release... before 1.05 patch sees the light of day? :(

Also, would like to get assurance that CS will continue to be supported AND improved by Matrix Games.
