Hello everyone. I am new to the game Panzer Campaigns. I have the game France 40.
I'm trying the tutorial scenario. You can get a win in this scenario?
Another scenario is short 0513_02: Half a Days Work.
Someone can make a Aar on these scenarios. I think that would help me a lot.
Thanks.
Welcome Roman!

Concentrate on learning how the game system works before you worry about winning or losing games, the AI is a great tool to learn how the game works before trying PBEM against a human opponent.

There are several good AAR's in the AAR sub forum, have a read of them to see if they can help you out. ;)
Foul,

Do you think the PDF "walk through" from Mius '43 would be helpful to roman?
Due to a very slow internet connection :hissy: i have not DL the demo yet, so i can't comment on how suitable it might be? :chin:
Thanks all for your answers. I'm doing games against the AI to learn the game system.
I'll see if under some Aar.
I'm not playing PBEM until I beat him to the IA.
If someone has the France 40 and I can pass some tactics to win the scenarios that I mentioned above will thank a few beers lol.

edit: I saw two Aars. on F40. The Aar of Maatrich and Eben Emael.
You do not see the images.
Two questions:
1) may be a good tactic to break a battalion in companies to surround the enemy?
2) should fire before attacking?
3) In short scenarios try to avoid the fight, and infiltrate in search of victory points (so far I've failed: (). It is appropriate this practice?
Hi Roman,

Welcome to the Panzer Campaigns games! Regarding F'40, don't worry about winning that one, at least using the default game optional rules. I tested it way back before the game came out, but I think it was under a slightly different set of rules than today, and with game changes, I think it can't be easily won. If you want to do so, try changing the optional rules to turn off the alt fire and assault rules. This started scenario has been brought up before and is extremely difficult, so don't hold off on moving forward due to it.

As to tactics in general, if the situation is fluid, breaking down can be valuable, to surround the enemy, or hold a wider front while concentrating troops elsewhere.

You want to disrupt defenders before assaulting, unless your assaulting troops are much stronger than the defender, or you have much higher assault ratings.

Infiltration can work in some battles, but there needs to be enough time to push through. In areas like the Ardennes from F'40, the roads are usually defended and the gaps are through the woods, making it too slow for moving through the undefended areas effective, except in longer scenarios.

In 0513_02, the scenario requires the Germans to move very quickly. Concentrate your 2 panzer divisions onto a single strike point each, that will allow you to penetrate deeply and then seize objectives to each side of your strike. You will need to use airpower against key targets, and minimum forces except where striking.

Agreed. The F'40 starter scenario is just too frustrating. I've never been able to win any time that I've tried it.
I'll get it soon. Before drew only 160 points. I make about 300 points. As get a win, I write a Aar. I mean the tutorial scenario.
