I started to post this there and then thought maybe a new thread to get some current opinions.

My brother and I play with VV on. It's a little dicey cause you forget and just suddenly can't see past a certain amount of hexes. Nothing brings attention to the fact that visibility has changed. One moment there's a tank on the horizon, the next moment there isn't. Other than that I don't mind it. I'd like it better, though, if there were some kind of graphical effect that happened to bring attention to the fact that visibilty had changed.

Other than my brother and me, does ANYONE play with it on?

Me!

Ive selected it in a few scenerio's but never noticed any change in visibility.Playing the Overlord campaign it had a gradual change from night to day.I'm all for it.

Cheers

I was playing with VV and I didn't liked. Like you’ve said there is an unit in LOS and suddenly it’s gone and all artillery fire plotted on that hex wasted. And I’m not sure but probably visibility was changing every move not whole turn. So during my move visibility was different than during opponent’s move in the same turn.
I think it's an option that some may like, others not?
IMHO I think it's an option that brings yet another facet to the game.
All good for me, anything that adds something to the game is fine with me, especially if it's optional.
I know there's been discussions before about it but, where I live, you can drive a few hundred yards in sunshine and up the road hit fog.
I agree that a downside is, when visibility changes in the same turn, not sure if that can be remedied?

I only play with it on when the scenario designer calls for it to be used.
Other wise I see it as an artificial diversion to any match.

cheers

Each to there own.
One man likes coffee,another tea?
Some see it as an artificial diversion, others as an added enhancement to the game?

I have no problem with it except it can change in the middle of a turn..........meaning your turn six might be 18 hexes and mine might be 15.........a bit unfair for someone and not really possible in the supposedly same time frame.....of course if it benefits my turn I think it's great :-)

VE
I can see and agree with the idea behind it, the changing face of the battle field over time and the smoke and dust of battle so initially thought it would be a be a good idea, but in reality it doesn't work like this.

I wouldn't mind it if as VE and others have mentioned if it only had the potential to change at the end of a whole turn (after both players have played the same turn).

As it stands it can change mid turn so both players playing the same 6 minuets could have different visibility, this can't be right or fair so I as a rule don't play with it.

It changes +/-1.
