Can jsgme can be used in PzC Series? http://www.users.on.net/~jscones/softwar...jsgme.html

If so, how can I set it up and use it?

With the different mods available that offer different unit art and map mods, I am confused as to what I would need to do to make sure the files that I want to be used are being used, from several sources.

Thanks
The JoneSoft Generic Mode Enabler is just a tool. Using it for mods with PzC/MC games makes this tool seem like using a bulldozer to level an anthill, IMHO.

I skimmed the tutorial over at Matrix games by Cougar. Too many steps involved compared to the current unzip the mod into the correct directories and your done approach taken by most PzC / MC modders. It appears to use the JoneSoft tool, one has to create their mod with the JoneSoft tool. Though I am not sure why this creates any value to the end user.

That said, if you know of mods using the JoneSoft tool for PzC / MC go ahead and give it a try. Hopefully someone else is already using it if you get into trouble. Cougar over at Matrix seems to think it will work with PzC. I do not see why it would not, except the juice is just not worth the squeeze.

Do you have a link to that tutorial?

I am trying to shorten the time it takes me to mod my games.

I do not use all of the files in each mod. I use parts of 3rd party game files from three different sources, so I am not in a position where I can just unzip the files and easily be done. Currently I am having to upzip each mod, in a certain order, and then pick apart the game files I want to use, and then I have to load them by hand.

I was hoping that if jsgme could be used, I could create a file folder for each mod that I want to use and that way if a new update was created by one the 3rd party mod makers, I could easily unmod the whole game and then manually edit the new mod files that I wish to use into the proper main mod folder, and then reload all the mods using jsgme.

Thanks
I am not sure it works the way you want it to.

I did not save the link myself.
However, all you have to do is like I did and Google the term "jsgme" and the Matrix forum thread popped right up. Or just go to the Matrix forums and use their own search feature.
