How can he be taking time off again, wasn't it just a little over a month ago that he was heading out for his "piste?' What kind of profession does he have anyway, general holidays on the "piste" interrupted by short periods of work?

Yup, i even amaze myself at the crashes i have and still walk (ski) away with just some bruises, i put it down to the fact that when i know a fall is inevitable i just except my fate rather than fight to avoid it as good skiers do!
