Hello everyone,

I need to pick up a few more games to make progress towards finally "officially" breaking the 100 game mark... ~40 games to go...

Anyone wishing to play EF or WF let me know and we'll work out scenario, sides and any house rules... I prefer mid to large scenarios; however, not too big... All rules except VV... However, if you are totally allergic to EA I am open to not using it...

I can keep a pretty steady pace... However, I can't promise a daily turn around. You should get at least one, more like two/three turns a week... It just depends on how much spare time I have from work and my other game turns coming in...

If you feel up to the challenge, please help me accomplish my goal of breaching the 100 game barrier...

How about EF / Bitter Glory at Tannenberg? Have wanted to try this Estonian scenario out for some time...

Great news Jim, really looking forward to this!

Historically, the battle for the Sinimae ("Blue Hills") was incredibly bitter, being one of the episodes the official Soviet Union did not mention at all. Fought mainly by the Estonian volunteers by the Axis side, they held on for several months.

Given the victory conditions, 350 for Allied victory, and with several 100 and 200 victory hexes, it seems I need to held onto ground for my dear life :thumbs_up:

The location can be found using the search "Sinimae, Estonia" in Google Earth. It looks very tranquil at the moment. (One of my Russian friends hinted me there were new satellite pictures of Summa village available. Summa, an area of fierce fighting during the Winter War, now they've cleared the area for timber, it still looks like the surface of moon ).

When the Nazis finally retreated, many Estonians turned their weapons on German supply columns, to arm themselves. The resulting guerilla organisation, "the Brotherhood of the Forests", consisting of Estonians having fought both on Red Army and on SS, fought relentlessly for Estonian independence, fighting until the 1950s. The last Forest Brother was killed, or killed himself, when found by KGB - in 1978!

The history buff that I am, I am trying to find books to go with this. I am considering buying the two books:

Battle in the Baltics 1944-45

War in the Woods, Estonia's Struggle for Survival
