Simple question for you experts is "How long to build a model"

I am thinking I would like to reward my Steel Panther Model experts and even beginners with a new medal.

I am glad the Sp Model forum has taken off and is one of our best viewed forums.

All I am thinking is that the model builders update us with some pictures as you build so we can see how you do things.

So maybe on the sprew and some work in progress and some finished pics.

So register with a new thread and off we go.

Keep up the great work chaps.

Hello Marcus,

I used to build.. it's been years, and now that my children are older (less destructive to fragile things), these pics on the thread are getting my blood up to build some again.. I have 1/2 dozen in unbuilt in boxes out in the garage.. time to break out the brushes and glue again.. one of my favorites is the P-38.. maybe I'll start there..

I can remember as a teen, my father, who is a sports enthusiast, never could understand my fascination with the hobby and the hours upon hours spent..

my favorite scale is 1/48.. my eyes and hands just aren't up to working 1/72'd scale any longer..

Cheers!

haha, It seems that is a common thread. Some old model makers getting the blood stirring to do this again.

I must say I am getting that same feeling. lol
Boy I wish I knew how many hours it took me to build some of them, I was never in a hurry and usually had 2-3 builds going on at the same time, I have the week after Christmas off work, so I'm eyeballing a Hasegawa 1/48 He-129 I have upstairs, I'll take some pics and post them during the build.

It was actually my Dad who helped me build my very frist Model, it was 1966 and it was a Batman model that I took to show n' tell at school the next day
