Hi guys,

I'm still not getting the automatically generated game report e-mails. Where should I look at correcting this problem? All the e-mail entries I've been able to find in the site software are correct (the comcast address). Please help!

LR
Hi Larry,

I put a trouble ticket in the tech section in the officer's area. Hopefully Raz can figure it out.

Dave
Larry,

I've just sent you an email through the Blitz. See if it comes through. Check whatever spam folders Comcast gives you, especially if Comcast has a webmail system that has spam filtering auto-configured.

If you know how, whitelist [email protected] or better *@theblitz.club. (The asterisk will accept all email coming from the Blitz.) This will have to be done from the Comcast end, not from your local email client, like Outlook. I suspect Comcast server is treating Blitz email as spam and not delivering it at all. Comcast should have sent you a username and password that allows you to login to the comcast.com site where you can check your email and email settings.

Hope that helps.

Dave
I have Comcast also, I don't get game notifications either.

Rob
Best advice in the interim is get a gmail account for blitz emails. I can't say enough about gmail.

I'll let you know if I get any more suggestions. Did you contact Comcast? It could very well be them.

Read this, though, old but pretty funny:

You know, I didn't even think about the possibility they would be running pre-client spam filtering (they used to not do that). I went in and turned it off at the source. Please resend the test message (please make sure it's going to the comcast.net account, not the old, and no longer valid houston.rr.com that seems to be stashed away in the nooks and crannies on the blitz in odd places, despite my best efforts to eradicate it).

Thanks all, seriously.

Another test sent, but I don't know to what address it goes (no way I can tell, only Raz has that access, I believe). As far as I know, there are only two places on the site where you change your address and both have to be done. Naturally I always forget the two places. One is in your control panel area (see the last red link under annoucements at the top of this page). The other place my not be there anymore, but I'll look around and let you know if/when I find it.

ADDENDUM: There is a way to see your registered address : larrybreese at comcast.net, right? Click on the email graphic on your profile page. Live and learn. So I guess it's going to the right place?

Dave
Going to the right place, if that is the address it's using, but still not coming through, and there is no spam filtering by comcast now unless it's filtering they're doing that account holders cannot control. I guess we'll just live with it.
