Hi all

I am upgrading to Windows 7 and have the choice of upgrading to the 64 bit version. Is anyone currently using 64 bit windows 7?

Has anyone experienced any problems or is it OK?
I have Window7 64 bits and I have no problem with my HPS games.
I have also no problems Win 7 64 bit is fine for all HPS games.:)
I'm on Windows 7 64-bit playing on a big laptop. I've had no problem with PzC. For some reason, in MC I have had some sort of a funky very occasional sound and artillery dialogue CTD playing a modified DF85 PBEM campaign. Never a show stopper though, just a pain when it happened. Can't for the life of me say why MC and not PzC either, your mileage might vary.

Thanks Guys, that's good news

I just updated my kids laptops to 64 bit WIndows 7 and I haven't had a chance to try loading an HPS game on either of them yet as they've been busy re-installing all the stuff they need for school (and ITUNES) :)

...but the issue I had that cost me both time and money was printing - specifically network printing. My main Laser Printer is\was an older HP1200 hung off an XP 32 bit PC and try as I did, I could not get the universal print driver to work from Win7 64bit remotely. I could print if hooked directly to printer but that wasn't good enough. So I had to upgrade my Printer and in doing so got something that didn't cost a lot of money and added Duplexing (two sided printing) so it wasn't too bad.

If your printer is new enough to have come even with Vista 64 bit drivers, then you should be OK. I had no problem with the Inkjet that was hung off a 32 bit PC, but I had to install the driver from the CD onto the 64bit machine to make it work.

On the positive side - the 64 bit Win7 runs really well and the only place you might expect issues is mixing them with shared devices.

Good luck and let us know how you make out.

Fortunately I don't have to worry about printers but their is bound to be something lurking in the wings which will take me by surprise
