Why can`t I edit the Side A, Side B Nuke Factor in the ME`67 PDT files. They are defaulted at 0.00000 ?? Doesn`t that mean 0 effect ?

I thought the Game had been retro -fitted with the Danube Front game Nuke/CBW weapons use in update 1.06 ?

Thanks
RL
I just fired up the parameter file editor and was able to change the values for the nuke factors. I ran that on the '67 pdt file - which one are you trying to change?

They are defaulted to 0s, I am sure because the current PDTs are an earlier version still - it would take a mod to add in nukes to the scenarios, as the regular scenarios don't have nukes in them historically, there isn't a reason for Glenn et al to change the scenarios. They only do that in the case of problems anyway, but there is no need here but you could mod it.

So the question to me is what pdt are you trying to change (and you want to save it as a different pdt name by the way)? Then we can see why, maybe, you are unable to change.

From Glenn`s site:

"Mideast 85 in Modern Campaigns - Middle East 67
by by Al Sandrik

Long in the works, as soon as we released Danube Front '85 with the new Tac Nuke Rules, I went to Al to see if he was interested in doing more of his Scenarios for this game. We simply provided him the update early and allowed him time to develop his ideas.

"When one unleashes the dogs of war, one can never be sure who's backyard they might wind up in!" When the Warsaw Pact crossed the Inter-German Frontier in June of 1985 even the most visionary of Soviet Intelligence officers could not have foreseen all of the ramifications of this act of aggression! However, there leaders were not so blind and in the Syrian-Israeli confrontation over the Golan Heights they found an area where Western resources could be stretched to the breaking point! Included are six (6) scenarios which allow the players to recreate the 1985 Syrian-Israeli War, including the potential use of chemical and nuclear weapons. These scenarios have been designed to use all of Volcanoman's Mideast Mods through August of 2008. enjoy, Al."

These scenarios all have WMD included.

These use the Mideast `85 PDT.
I can`t edit that PDT nukes A or B side with the included PDT Editor, just get the Win. error beep when trying to add a number, even though I can edit all the other values..same with all the other PDT`s. Seems locked up to me.

Very odd.
Maybe your using a different editor....?

Since I doubt anyone else is interested in this maybe it`s a good idea to PM about it...
Thanks
Rich
Try deleting the numbers in those fields - I couldn't change anything until I did that, then it worked fine. Drop me a PM if you want if still having issues! I had never downloaded these scenarios before, interesting stuff.

Rick
That was it, once I deleated the entire string I was able to enter new values.

Thanks !
