Hi I just have to get this out in the open...
I'm currently having such a dismal service record in my PBEM games.Cry
Anyway, it's all fun and learning along the way. Game on! :smg:

Jason,

Take it a little easy on yourself, first off. I took a look at your record, and it's not that bad for a guy with less than 20 games under your belt. You've been playing some pretty good players as well, which means you're going to take your lumps for a while. The key is to engage those guys while your playing. Ask them questions, especially on things that you feel you may have done incorrectly.

Post questions here on the boards, engage in strategy talk. There are a lot of guys out here who enjoy talking about this stuff.

I'd also encourage you to play the AI as well. Use it to hone your skills to minimize your 'new player' mistakes.

We all started out on the shallow end of the learning curve and struggled to find our way forward. Keep playing, you'll improve. Just don't get discouraged. I put Vietnam on the shelf for over a year before picking it back up I was so frustrated with how I played. You'll get there.

Jomni,

I'd be willing to get into another PBEM game but I am away for 7-8 days beginning of August, not sure if I could complete a game by then.

When I get back though I will gladly play you though!

Don't let it discourage you, it takes a while to get good at this game. THere are also some very good players here, who are very tough to beat. Luckily they're nice guys, so I don't mind so much. :) Look at most peoples records when they are starting, they aren't doing much different. Any questions you have about our games feel free to ask, or post it on the boards here.

If you do feel like letting it out sometimes, go ahead and do that too. Big Grin
Well I guess stats aren't everything. What's important is having fun. And the blitz community is great;.

Correct, Absolutely correct, and yes, the blitz is a great community.

Most people can easily get lost in SB and put the game away in frustration. I too put away my first SB game Nam for a year. Luckily you have tons of articulated info and help files in TFE4 and at the forums which can lead the way for the new guys. You will love this game more and more by exploring and applying the tactics that really work. It looks like an easy game but there are tons of things beneath the surface so dont be shy and ask questions. We will do our best to answer them.
