Sorry for all the questions.

Q1: Does anyone know which is more valuable, victory points for an objective versus victory points lost when you lose a man. I ask because I am debating pushing to gain an objective. But if losing a few men will cost as much as the 20 point objective, it will not may sense.

I guess another way to phrase the question is to ask how many victory points per man lost?

Q2: Do you lose the same victory points for a truck as for a tank, e.g. a T-34?

in general Men are worth 1 VP each. Vehicles value is calculated based on crew size, armor (and possibly armament).

Don't forget that leaders are worth 2 VP so don't put them in harm's way unless you really need to.

I just played a scenario and it appeared the German trucks I killed where 4 points each while the Soviet tanks lost where 8 points each

Depending on Victory conditions point spread, in some scenarios. The loss of one AFV or Helicopter in modern titles can mean you go from being a hero to zero in one easy turn

Depends on the scenario.
Some scenarios don't even have VP locations.
