does anybody play ancient wargames on the VASSAL engine ?

Command and Colors - Ancients by GMT is definetely recommendable.

The VASSAL engine works fine for digital online boardgaming.

Combined with Skype you can experience the full boardgaming atmosphere.

Well, you can count me in on that, Jolly! C & C is a fine game system with a lot of subtlety and Vassal is easy to use. I'd encourage everybody to have a look.

I think too that some of the rules from C&C might be profitably adapted to AW, specifically the leader evasion rules.....
