Scenario 402 Afgan tests
Set to human vs human to see how they work.
Ignore the forces on the done part of the map just end the Brit turn & you will start the Taliban one where the hostages are.

1st Hostage Rescue

They belong to British & are in prison cells.
Used united nations for the hostages.

The cells make them blind till unload so can be placed in enemy camp without giving away info.
Needs a simple rule saying cant unload till a friendly enters hex & lets them out.
Also enemy units cant target the cells to fire at them.
Not tested for artillery vs fully but pretty indestructible although it MAY kill the prisoners or cause them to unload & route triggering op fire.
They are worth 350 points a peace so dont land your heavy arty on them while trying to rescue.

To test blindness walk some Taliban round then let them out on turn 2 & see what happens they are located by the Talibans

Modify in the editor using an IED
Remove weapons
Under Misc tab change
Carry capacity to whatever
Set survivability to 4 or 5


2nd Demolitions & Suicide trucks.

Terrain & ammo dumps etc just placed to see effects there are 3 Taliban Engineers there.

The 3 Taliban Engineers have a carry capacity of 102.
They are carrying 1 explosive move them beside something & unload them.
Should really move them away or just blow it by pressing the F key they can be blown so long as have radio contact.

For use to place a charge on a bridge or blow up an ammo or vehicles compound etc.

Notes
They cannot load into a vehicle while still carrying explosives unload the explosives first then load both units & unload at destination & pick back up. They could carry 2 explosives if wish.

As only thought about after radio contact may be a bit squiffy, blow the HQ explosive last.
To do properly buy an Engineer platoon, keep him as leader & change rest of the platoon to explosives.
Check he has a radio :)


IED change load cost to 1 (zero seemed to work also)
Still not got weapon right trialing does not have effect I want vs ammo dumps & only blows bridges 50% of the time.
Suggest try various bombs or combos of including Napalm to get the effect you want, artilery will not work due to min range.


Oh try the 2 trucks parked up the top same thing drive up & press F to detonate.
Also if you buy ammo dumps or whatever on the side of player thats trying to destroy them he cant shoot at them. The other side is trying to save them so wont either but make vehicles immobile assuming parked up so dont fire at if routed.
Removing crews first using airdrop trick does not work well.
