Hi All:
This I am sure has been covered, but I haven't located yet, so would like to ask the question.

I am trying to set up a PBEM campaign with air units for each side. However, the Campaign seems to only assign air to one side regardless of how many I set in the preference.

Is there a way to set the Campaign to allow both sides to have air units. Or alternatively, maybe setup scenarios that allow players to make the purchase as part of the campaign instead of the scenario.

Thanks

Both sides will have the same air points if availble.
If you are using airborne units should be considered.
Also check if air is set to the same or default for both sides.
Thanks,
I did some more experimenting and I see that the other side seems to get to buy air units during support. However that presents another problem because player 1 can buy air for core, while player 2 has to buy air from support. For clarification, air in this case refers to helicopters. So player 1's helo will be core and able to advance while player 2's helos will never gain experience.

I tried switching countries and sides and it always seems that player 1 gets its helos for core and player 2 gets it helos for support.

Is there a way around this?

I will test more, maybe there is something else I am doing wrong.

I have air sorties set to 2 with Russia vs China starting August 1991.
In campaigns you cannot set the amount of air available it is determined based on date, side playing, visibility & a random factor.

Core air units namely helos paras only being available to player 1 is a known issue hopefully fixed in patch to come out shortly. I reported it if you want to remind them could report it yourself. Till then to keep it fair just dont buy air in your core as player 1 or add it later. Player 2 can include air in his core from battle 2.
